In December, we were delighted to welcome Áine Ni Fhlatharta to our school. Áine is the local energy school workshop facilitator for SEAI and An Taisce. On the day, the children took part in energy workshops and learned some really interesting facts about how energy is created. They also learned how important it is to conserve energy and use it wisely.
They harnessed energy from potatoes and saw how it could power a lightbulb.
