Chess Lunchtime League

During Term 1, Mr. Kiely and Ms. Hickey introduced the children in 3^rd and 4^th Class to the fundamentals of chess through the Ficheall programme. Ficheall, is a network of primary school teachers who promote the playing of chess for the social and cognitive benefits it has for students. As a continuation of this, Ms. Hickey has facilitated a Chess Lunchtime League on Fridays. This is proving to be very popular with the chess enthusiasts in the senior classes.
