Ogonnelloe N.S was awarded our first Active School Flag in June 2016. This was the result of almost two years of activity, planning and cooperation from students, parents and teachers in our school.
We were successful in renewing our Active School Flag in June 2019. It was a busy year for our Active School Committee but an enjoyable one for all involved.
Our Active School motto is: “Run, jump, jog, dance, give yourself an active chance.”
The Active School Process has built awareness among the children, staff and wider community about the importance of activity in our lives. It encourages team work, co-operation and involvement in a wide range of activities. Irrespective of ability all children are encouraged to give everything a go.
