On Tuesday the 5th of March, students from 3rd and 4th class proudly represented our school in a Ficheall Chess tournament in Ennis. In total, eight schools competed on the day and there was a commendable level of sportsmanship and respect shown by all competitors.
The children were awarded a certificate of excellence for their efforts and performed exceptionally well. Well done to all involved and to Mr.Kiely and Ms. Hickey for introducing chess to the school this year.
