Thirty-two pupils from 3rd to 6th Class attended the Féile Fichille one-day inter-school chess tournament in Ennis on Tuesday, 24th February.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to develop and practise their chess skills while proudly representing their school in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
Chess has become an increasingly popular lunchtime activity in our school, particularly on wet days, and it was fantastic to see the children participate with such enthusiasm. A sincere thank you to Mr. Kiely and Ms. McKee for organising the teams and coordinating the lunchtime leagues.
