Home
Ogonnelloe NS opened its doors in November 1995 following the closure of Ballybrohan NS. It has grown in strength and numbers in the 13 years since. The school is set in an idyllic landscape with the Slieve Bearnagh mountains to the west and Lough Derg and the Arra mountains to the east.

In addition to the full academic programme, Ogonnelloe NS also provides many extra curricular activities including hurling and camogie, swimming, tag rugby, basketball, tennis, French and speech & drama. The school participates annually in the Cumann na mBunscoil competitions reaching the county finals in their category on several occasions. The school pupils have access to the local GAA pitch, located to the rear of the school. David Forde of the Clare Hurling team is a past pupil of this school.
In June 08 Ogonnelloe reached the final of the County final which was played at Cusack Park, Ennis

Parents, staff and pupils also engage in charity projects including the Christmas Shoe-Box Appeal, and have fundraised to send a goat to Africa, courtesy of the charity Boher. The pupils of our school are also active in the care for their environment through the Green-Schools Scheme. Our school grounds are well maintained and include basketball and tennis courts, a play area and vegetable garden.
